Omani interviewee explains the making process of the traditional Arabic sailing vessel – the dhow – and the various roles it had including in travelling, fishing and storing.
Although historians are still unsure about who the inventors of the dhow originally were – the Arabs or the Indians – this vessel remains an important part of cultural heritage amongst countries of the Arabian Peninsula, including Oman, Yemen, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
